Scale the expertise, not the headcount.

Your best people are the bottleneck. I find where growth is stuck, then build the fix. Sometimes that needs AI. Often it doesn't.

PROBLEM 01 OF 05

Your experts are the bottleneck

They answer the same questions every week. You can't hire your way out: juniors don't carry the thing clients pay for.

THE FIRST MOVE

Log a month of requests to your two most expensive people. Sort them: a system could answer this, a system could draft this, this actually needed them. The last pile is usually a fifth.

What it looks like ninety days in.

One client, three systems, ninety days. Every number measured and traceable to its source.

EXPERT REPUTATION TO MEASURABLE ACQUISITION

One front door for a national reputation

Healthcare, specialist practice

Twenty-five years of reputation and no way for anyone to act on it. We built the front door.

What we built

Positioning, an evidence-led site with price on enquiry, an enquiry form that records the source of every lead, and analytics and search configured properly for the first time.

EXPERT BOTTLENECK TO CONTENT ENGINE

Expertise turned into weekly demand

Healthcare, specialist practice

Publishing waited on a booked-out expert. Now thirty seconds of recorded thinking becomes a week of content, held for sign-off.

What we built

The content engine, patient and practitioner email programmes, video post-produced from his own words, and a search fix that took indexed pages from 4 to 13.

PROFESSIONAL AUDIENCE TO REVENUE CHANNEL

An audience turned into a revenue line

Healthcare, professional education

Forty-seven hands went up at a single talk. Eight weeks later that list had a course to buy.

What we built

A professional academy with registration verification, lesson analytics showing exactly where readers stop, and a staff console where every number names its source table.

I draw your business before I touch it.

Product management, pointed at a whole business instead of one app. Four stages. Each leaves you something you keep, whether or not we carry on.

STAGE 01 OF 04

Explore

Two weeks inside the business. Interviews across leadership and the team, a read of the real numbers, and how customers actually find you and why they buy. You get a diagnosis.

A 30-minute conversation

Bring your hardest operating question. I'll tell you what I'd look at first, whether there is a fit, and if there isn't, where to go instead.

  • A first read of where growth is stuck
  • One or two things to try this month, free
  • An honest answer on whether to go further

The Growth Map

Explore and Map, done properly. The leadership team leaves with the drawing of the business, the one move worth making, and a roadmap you can hand to anyone.

  • Interviews, data review, channel audit
  • The system, as it is and as it could be
  • Growth model in your numbers, 90-day plan
Ask about the map
If the map says so

Build it with me

The person who drew the map is the person who builds it. Mostly my own hands, in your repositories, with developers I've worked with before when scope needs them. I stay on until your team runs it.

  • Product, web, mobile, AI systems and integrations
  • In your repositories, yours to keep
  • Weekly numbers, monthly redraw of the map

Common questions
Who do you actually work with?

Practices, consultancies and specialist firms where the expertise is the product. Five to fifty people, past the idea stage, and stalled somewhere that's costing real money.

Do we need AI at all?

Often not yet. Most of the first ninety days is connecting what you already have and measuring it. AI helps where it takes hours off your most expensive people.

How is this different from hiring an agency?

An agency sells you a build, so it will rarely tell you not to build. I will. That's most of what you're paying for.

What if the map says build nothing?

Then that's the answer and you've saved a build. It happens. You keep the map.

Who owns what we build?

You do. Code, content, data, repositories. Nothing rented, nothing locked in.

Jason Q. Lu

Trained as an architect. Still drawing buildings, just for businesses.

I trained as an architect. Five years drawing complicated things until they make sense, which turned out to be the job.

Then a decade of product. Google Photos, TikTok LIVE, Are Media. Two ventures of my own, which is where you learn what an interesting idea costs. The MBA covered what product doesn't: revenue, economics, and what a board is actually asking.

Holding all of those at once is the rare part. AI matters here because it collapsed what one person can build. It is not the product.
